Refinery Pančevo to stop production of leaded gasoline

- During this year Oil refinery Pančevo will stop producing leaded gasoline and start trial production of unleaded gasoline - said Oleg Shalimov, the Deputy CEO of NIS Petrol who is in charge of the sales.

- The line for production of unleaded gasoline will be installed in Pančevo. Elaboration of the project and the process of selection of partner are in progress - Shalimov pointed out and added that the anual volume of production would be known after the unit's modernization.

The Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) will soon start trial production of unleaded gasoline and invest 40m EUR in construction and reconstruction of gas stations.

The Deputy CEO of NIS Petrol, Oleg Shalimov, said that construction of ten new gas stations and modernization of up to 40 out of total of 474 existing facilities were in the pipeline.

As he explained, the gas stations for reconstruction have been chosen according to their locations and the sales they register, and he added that the construction of new gas stations was faced with as much difficulties as all other investments.
