- Chinese investors may soon open the unit for assembling heavy trucks in Montenegro - said Montenegrin Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister Igor Lukšić.
He said that the negotiations with Chinese investors on that project went the furthest and added that "now we should back these initiatives and try to make some concrete arrangements".
Lukšić confirmed that the possibility of additional investing in construction of highways was discussed with Chinese companies, and that not only Bar-Boljare, but also Adriatic-Ionic highway and the branch that should connect Montenegro with Kosovo had been mentioned during the talks.
- There are several companies that expressed the interest, and if the arrangements are made, they will be tripartite - contractor, finance institution that provides money and the Government - Lukšić specified.
He added that company Gezhouba was interested in building highways and it could join the project for construction of hydroelectric power plants on the Morača.
At the same time, as Lukšić explains, "the Bar port may be connected with a Chinese port very soon by a ship line. That is the subject of negotiations with the representatives of Sinotrans, which is one of the most famous companies in the area of maritime transportation".
