(Mlađan Dinkić)

The Minister of Economy and Regional Development, Mlađan Dinkić, and Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Japan to Belgrade, Teruhiko Shinada, signed on March 16th, 2010, the bilateral protocol on completion of negotiations with Japan in the process of Serbia's admission to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

- There are big chances for us to become a member of WTO next year because we are going to bring our legislation in accord with the regulations of that organization prior to mid-2010, while all other bilateral negotiations will be ended by the end of the year - said Dinkić.

Japan is the first member of WTO to sign the bilateral protocol on completion of the negotiations with Serbia ever since our country started the process of admission to that organization in 2005.
