EBRD considers approval of loan of 100m EUR to Serbian Railways

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced that it was considering the approval of the loan of 100m EUR to Serbian Railways for reconstruction of the railway alongside Corridor 10 and procurement of up to 15 locomotives and spare parts for the locomotives in use.

The value of the project is 296.4m EUR, and the EBRD should provide 100m EUR, while the European Investment Bank (EIB) will give 150m EUR.

The EIB will especially deal with financing the modernization of the railway from Belgrade to Novi Sad, which is the crucial section of Corridor 10.
