Jat Airways registered 23.5m EUR worth of losses in 2009

- Jat Airways' losses in 2009 amounted to 23.5m EUR and the company does not expect to turn profit in 2010 as well - the CEO of that national company, Srđan Radovanović, said today (March 16, 2010).

He specified at the press conference that Jat's business losses amounted to 16.5m EUR, 50% less than in 2008, while total losses included 7m EUR that had been set aside for the severance pays for workers.

Radovanović said that the bank that would grant the loans of 40m EUR for rationalization of the operations, 9.5m EUR for overhaul of engines and 3.5m USD for one-year rental of two boeing 737-700 airplanes was expected to be selected in April.
