Realization of light hydrocracking and hydrotreatment complex in NIS Novi Sad to cost 400m EUR - contractor is CB&I Lummus

The aim of reconstruction and modernization of the technological complex of NIS a.d. Novi Sad is to enable production of motor fuel in accordance with Euro-5 standards. According to the existing basic project, the Program for reconstruction and modernization will include significant investments, while 60m EUR will be invested only in environmental projects.

With the aim of implementing the program for reconstruction and modernization of the technological complex of NIS a.d. Novi Sad, the Contract on construction of light hydrocracking and hydrotreatment complex, worth over 396m EUR (450m USD) was signed on September 17, 2009.

The contract anticipates construction of five new units, as well as modernization, reconstruction and construction of another 19 facilities of commercial infrastructure, which are necessary to ensure functioning of the hydrocraking and hydrotreatment units.

The works will be carried out by one of the world's biggest companies in the sphere of energy – CB&I Lummus.
