Serbian Prime Minister announces start of construction of highway from Nis to Durres Port for March 2021

Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic, announced that the start of Nis-Durres highway construction is expected in March 2021, whereas the tendering procedure for the first highway section, Nis-Plocnik is to be open soon.

– This is the route which has been agreed upon as a part of The Berlin Process as one of the most important, priority transport infrastructure projects meant to establish better connection in the region, from Nis to Durres Port, Brnabic said, states the Government website.

She added that in discussion with the European Investment Bank concerning project financing, they agreed that the project will be partially financed through a grant since it's a road important not only for the region but for Prokuplje and Kursumlija too.
