Zdravlje Actavis registered 40m EUR worth of incomes in 2009

- Pharmaceutical company Zdravlje Actavis from Leskovac registered 40m EUR worth of incomes in 2009, almost as much as in 2008 - the company's representatives announced yesterday (March 11, 2010).
- Zdravlje Actavis sells 83% of total production in Serbia and it plans to make 60% of sales in foreign markets in 2012 - Pavle Marjanović, the CEO of Actavis' Branch Office for Serbia and Montenegro, said at the press conference .
He pointed out that the Leskovac-based factory had the share of 5.5% in Serbian market, that it ranked the third in sales, and the management's aim is to climb to the second position in few years.
Icelandic Actavis bought Zdravlje in 2003 for 3.5m EUR and promised to invest 20m EUR in that factory within next five years. According to the words of the CEO of Zdravlje Actavis, Miomir Nikolić, 37m EUR have been invested to the date, thanks to which the factory's production has been brought in accord with the highest European standards.
He pointed out that the company was fulfilling all its obligations towards employees and suppliers on time.
Actavis has 10,000 employees in 40 countries. Last year that company achieved positive business results and offered record number of new products to the market, while its incomes amounted to 1.7bn EUR.
Zdravlje Actavis has about 400 employees whose average monthly salary is 46,000 RSD. Before the privatization, there were over 2,000 workers in that factory.
