Decision on contractor for works on northern branch of Corridor 10 may be made on March 15th

- There is a legal possibility that the decision on who will get the job to build 110 kilometers of the northern branch of Corridor 10, from Novi Sad to Horgoš and from Subotica to Kelebija, will be made on March 15th - said Dejan
Kovačević, the President of the Tender commission for construction of that Corridor. As he explained, there is a possibility that the decision will be made on Monday, but something in the procedure can also postpone making of the decision.
- Direct negotiations, that is, the negotiating procedure with the bidders, have not started yet - said Kovačević.
The bidders on the tender are: domestic consortium led by Company for Roads Beograd (Nibens Group), Croatian company Hidroelektra Niskogradnja from Zagreb in a consortium with Vojput from Subotica, and company Primorje from Slovenia.
In addition to Company for Roads Beograd, the domestic consortium also comprises Putevi Užice, Borovica Transport from Ruma and Planum from Belgrade.
The Minister of Infrastructure of Serbia, Milutin Mrkonjić, announced that the contractor for the works on construction of the northern branch of Corridor 10 would be selected next Monday and that the works should start already on March 27th, as well as that the works on the part of the bypass around Dimitrovgrad should start at the same time.
The Government of Serbia announced public call for construction of 110 km of semi-highway, the northern branch of Corridor 10, in late 2009. The Ministry of Infrastructure suspended the tender last month because the bidders failed to meet the conditions for selection of the most favorable bid according to the Law on Public Procurements.
Tender is announced for participation in construction of left lane of the highway from Novi Sad to Horgoš, on the section between Horgoš and the 28th kilometer from the border and between the 38th and 98th kilometer, as well as on the section between Kelebija and Subotica.
