Nis Visited by More Foreign Than Local Tourists in July

Nis was visited by 3,753 guests in July, 2,249 of whom were foreigners, whereas the number of local tourists was 1,504, as shown by the latest data of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia.

The coronavirus epidemic has caused the number of tourists in Nis in July 2020 to drop by 72.8% compared to July 2019.

In the first six months of 2020, there were 25,278 tourists in Nis, and the number of local tourists was nearly equal to the number of foreign ones, at 12,769 and 12,509 respectively.

The number of tourists in Nis in the period between January and July dropped by 64.6% compared to the same period last year.
