Kosovo's membership in EBRD depends on bank's members

- Kosovo's membership in the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will depend on the positions of the members of that finance institution because each of them will be asked to give its opinion about the status of Kosovo - people from EBRD told Beta agency.
EBRD's spokesperson Bojana Todorovska said that each new member must get "votes of not less than two thirds of governors who represent not less than three quarters of all votes".
The rules and procedures are stated in the Founding Agreement of the Bank and Kosovo's membership in the EBRD, as Todorovska explained, will depend on the members' positions.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Tachi, said on Saturday, March 7m that Kosovo had become member of the IMF and the World Bank and that it would soon become member of the EBRD.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is an international finance institution that supports projects in 29 countries, from central Europe to central Asia.
