Companies in Niš to get 4m EUR worth of loans

- Small and mid-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs in the Nišava region will be granted the loans of 4m EUR from the Local Economic Development in the Balkans programme (LEDIB) - it was said in Niš, at the promotion of that programme.

The contract on credit line has been signed between the governments of Denmark and Serbia and the National Bank of Serbia, and the plan is that Denmark and NBS provide 2m EUR each.

The LEDIB programme concerns the funding of investments and capital funds with the aim of creating new and retaining old jobs, increasing national incomes from export, producing local products and services that can be competitive.

- The intention of Niš is to realize the whole budget of the LEDIB programme timely and in the right way in order to stimulate economic development of this part of the country - said Miloš Simonović, the Mayor of Niš.

The Ambassador of Denmark to Serbia, Mete Kjuel Nielsen, expressed the hope that the use of new credit line would improve the development of local economy.

The credit line was promoted in the presence of Radovan Jelašić, the Governor of NBS.
