Davos World Economic Forum Postponed for Summer 2021

The World Economic Forum has decided to reschedule the Annual Meeting 2021 in Davos to early next summer, as the advice from experts is that the Forum cannot do so safely in January, the organizers announced on August 26.

The PR said that the decision was not taken easily, since the need for global leaders to come together to design a common recovery path and shape the “Great Reset” in the post-COVID-19 era is so urgent.

The organizers did not announce the exact date, and the possibility of the Forum not being held in Davos was hinted:

– Details concerning the dates and location of the rescheduled Annual Meeting 2021 will be shared as soon as the Forum is assured that all conditions are fulfilled to guarantee the health and safety of our participants and the hosting community.

At the beginning of June, the organizers announced that they were looking to organize the Forum on the usual date in the Swiss Alps, but in a changed format, partially online.

The organizers now say that, during the week of January 25, the Forum will digitally convene high-level “Davos Dialogues” where key global leaders will share their views on the state of the world in 2021.
