Mercy Corps signed 13 contracts worth 300,000 USD – fruit growing, cattle breeding, milk production

On November 3, 2005, in the scope of the project Community Revitalization through Democratic Action, International Humanitarian Organization Mercy Corps signed 13 contracts with referential associations of agricultural manufacturers and collective farms from the territory Kruševac, Ćićevac, Varvarin, Trstenik and Aleksandrovac and their common denominators are fruit growing, cattle breeding and milk production.

The people of America provided investments in equipment worth about 300,000 USD, whereas the members of the associations and collectives will provide another 125,000 USD.

Realization of the projects will make space for about 100 seasonal workers. Also, increase of about 1.2 million USD in scope of turnover of recipients of donations is expected.
