New Player in BiH Pharmaceutical Market – Albanian Delta Pharma to Open Office in Banjaluka

One of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Albania, Delta Pharma-AL, is to open an office in Banjaluka, from where it will try to position itself as well as possible, the Capital portal learns.

The founding with the right of carrying out foreign trade operations was registered by the District Commercial Court in Banjaluka. Delta Pharma will operate as a limited liability company in Sime Solaje Street, and Alma Avdagic has been appointed director.

In a short conversation with Capital, she said that she couldn't discuss the plans and the ambitions of the new player in the BiH market at that moment and that everything was still in the initial phase.

Delta Pharma-AL's seat is in Tirana, and they also have an office in Kosovo. Their web page says that they sell various brands and pharmaceutical products, food supplements and medical devices.

According to the data of the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 40 companies with permits for wholesale import and distributions of medicines operate in the country. This doesn't include the 18 companies that have a temporary or permanent ban on carrying out these activities. On average, the annual sales of medicines in BiH are worth more than half a billion convertible marks.
