International Tender Worth BAM 1.3 Billion for Construction of Three Sections of Vukosavlje-Raca Highway Opens

The company Autoputevi Republike Srpske has opened an international tender for the construction of three sections of the highway from Vukosavlje, through Brcko and Bijeljina, to Raca and the border with Serbia, worth a total of BAM 1.3 billion without VAT.

The tendering procedure is split into three lots, namely, the Vukosavlje-Brcko section, estimated at 600 million, the Brcko-Bijeljina section, which is supposed to cost 310 million, and the Bijeljina-Raca section, worth 440 million convertible marks.

Said highway of 70 kilometers should therefore cost a total of BAM 1.35 billion without VAT.

The Vukosavlje-Brcko section is around 33 kilometers long, the Brcko-Bijeljina section has 17 kilometers, whereas the Bijeljina-Raca section is 20 kilometers long.

The Vukosavlje-Brcko section will have three interchanges, whereas one interchange will be on the Brcko-Bijeljina section. The third section, from Bijeljina to Raca, should feature two interchanges and a new customs terminal at the end of the section, that is, on the border with Serbia.

The procedure of the selection of the contractor will be carried out in the form of a competitive dialogue, and the number of candidates that will be invited to take part in the dialogue should be limited to four.

The contract will be awarded under the criterion of the economically most favorable bid.

– The candidate or the group of candidates that get the contracts will be obliged to provide 85% or more of the financial funds for the design and the construction – the tender documentation says.

The Government of Republika Srpska will provide a guarantee for the repayment of loan liabilities for this project.

The deadline for obtaining the tender documentation is September 13, and bids may be sent to Autoputevi by September 25.
