Michael Davenport appointed as new British Ambassador to Serbia

- Michael Davenport has been appointed as the new Ambassador of Great Britain to Serbia. He will replace Stephen Wordsworth in November, upon the expiration of his four-year mandate - the British Foreign Office announced.

Michael Howard Davenport comes to Belgrade from the position of the Head of Foreign Office's Directorate for Russia, South Caucasus and Central Asia, which he assumed in 2007. Davenport was the Head of the Mission to Cairo in the period 2004-2007 and the Consul General and the Trade Promotion Director in Warsaw between 2000 and 2003.
