MIHAJLOVIC: Number of employees in construction sector higher by 10% than last year

In addition to the growth of the number of construction sites, of which there are 61,443, according to the latest data, it is even more important that a growth of the number of employees in the construction sector was recorded in the second quarter of the current year, an increase by 10% compared to the same period last year, whether in residential construction or road and rail sector, said Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic.

She said that, compared to 2019, there were 16,000 construction sites more and that there was a growth of the value of construction works.

– I am convinced that the construction sector will remain an important factor in the growth of the GDP until the end of the year – she said, as announced on the ministry's website.
