Belgrade-based sugar plant Dimitrije Tucović for sale

The Privatization Agency announced the tender today (February 25, 2010) for sale of Belgrade's sugar plant Dimitrije Tucović, which is in bankruptcy.
All those interested can submit their bids prior to March 30th when they will be opened. The proof that the deposit of 2.4bn RSD is paid must be enclosed with the bid.
The Agency did not determine the starting or minimum price for the oldest Serbian sugar plant, but it is stated that its estimated value, as a juristic person, amounts to 11.9bn RSD.
Sugar plant Dimitrije Tucović has already been offered for sale several times, at the starting price of 5.9bn and 4.6bn RSD. The sugar plant owns production complexes in two locations - in the borough of Čukarica, next to Ada Ciganlija, and in Padinska Skela.
The production-business complex in Čukarica occupies the surface of 18,000 square meters, and the most significant facilities are administrative building, main hall, drying unit for noodles and three warehouses.
The sugar plant's property in Padinska Skela, at 102 ha, includes the land for growing sugar beet, main hall, storage for sugar, limy, sugar silos, reservoirs for crude oil and molasses, industrial rails, pumping stations, railway and car scales.
