Upgrade of Road Infrastructure in Montenegro – Next Four Years to See Construction or Reconstruction of 300 km of Traffic Network

The plan is for Montenegro to get around 300 km of main roads, fully reconstructed or newly built, in the next four years, announced the head of the Transportation Directorate, Savo Paraca.

He reminded that the boulevard between Podgorica and Danilovgrad would be 15 kilometers long and that the investment was worth EUR 24 million.

Paraca pointed out that the boulevard was designed in line with the highest standards.

– We are more than satisfied with the project whose realization has started – Paraca said.

The works are entrusted to Bemax Podgorica, and the construction should be completed in two years.

– I am more than sure that we can fit into that amount, which is 24 million without VAT. I am sure that we will do this within the deadline and that we will not exceed the budget – Paraca said and added that Bemax was a remarkable company.

– I am happy that one such company is carrying out these complex works – Paraca said.

The new boulevard will shorten the travel time, and, as Paraca adds, the value of the land around the boulevard will jump as well.

Paraca said that nearly EUR 4 million had been spent for the expropriation of the land.
