First four-seat ski lift put in operation on Zlatar mountain

On the slopes of Zlatar mountain, in Nova Varoš, ski track Briježđa was opened and a four-seat ski lift, the first on that mountain, was put in operation today (February 16, 2010).

- In the first ski lift on Zlatar mountain, which should be the backbone of tourism development, the Ministry of Economy and the municipality of Nova Varoš invested about 220m RSD - the Mayor of Nova Varoš, Slaviša Purić, said at the opening ceremony.

The ski lift is a real attraction because it goes almost from the center of Nova Varoš, which is situated on the height of 1,010 meters above the sea level.

The ski lift's capacity is 1,200 skiers per hour, and the first out of three tracks is 954 meters long.
