Guests from Libya and Russia in Gornja Trepča

For the first time after two decades, Atomic spa in Gornja Trepča near Čačak has guests even during the winter. Nearly half of total of 103 beds in the spa are occupied at the moment, and certain number of guests are from Libya and Russia.
The guests also have about 2,000 categorized beds in private property at the disposal.
- There were 11,500 guests last year, over thousand of which were mainly from European countries, and some of them even came from Australia, New Zealand and Canada. We are now negotiating with the tour-operators in Russia - said je Zoran Kaplanović, the CEO of this spa resort, which was registered few days ago in the Court of Commerce as a special hospital for rehabilitation.
Dr. Lidija Obradović-Bursać pointed out that the patients with rheumatic and neurological disturbances were more and more interested in balneophysical treatment, which includes the use of the world's unique water.
Since the spa has invested about 120m RSD in modernization over the past two years and employed another 10 workers, the studies on effects of local thermal mineral water on the patients with rheumatism and multiple sclerosis have recently been ordered from scientific institutes.
