Belgrade's hostel Hostelche among top three in Europe

Website Hostelbookers.com has presented the list of the world's top hostels in 2009, and Belgrade-based hostel Hostelche is among the top three in Europe. In addition to Hostelche, Majdas Hostel in Mostar and Lisbon-based Travellers House also won awards. Each of the hostels was evaluated by its guests, and the main criteria were tidiness, popularity, location and atmosphere.

During November 2009, Hostelbookers.com conducted a research on the travellers' habits. Based on few thousand answers, the results of the research were presented and they showed, among the rest, that 56.2% of travellers choose to stay in hostels, while only 1.7% of them book rooms in luxury hotels. The research also showed that the travellers, during their stay in hostel, find it most important to have a good shower and Internet access.
