Big Russian financial magnate, Roman Abramovič, the owner of FC Chelsea and 49% of Moscow’s CSKA, expressed the wish, as "strategic partner" of the Karić family, to invest in the oldest horse farm in Serbia - "Ljubičevo" near Požarevac.
Since Serbia is still not able to sell memorials and legacies, PSS (Movement: Strength of Serbia) and Municipality of Požarevac offered partner investment to Roman Abramovič or possibility of rental of horse farm on period of 5, 49 or 99 years.
The plans of the Municipality include construction of tourism-recreation center with hotels, swimming pools, airport, tennis and golf courts in the horse farm "Ljubičevo", which is pretty big investment - €15m-€20m.
The final phase related to the signing of the contract on rental of land to Aeroclub “Ljubiša Veličković” from Požarevac is underway. The elaboration of airport project is in making and, when the contract is signed, Aeroclub will start construction of sports airport.
