The 6th Brand Fair, which will gather 50 exhibitors from Serbia and the countries of ex-Yugoslavia, was opened today (February 11, 2010) at the Belgrade Fair.
The Minister of Telecommunications and IT Society, Jasna Matić, said at the opening of that three-day manifestation that the success in global market was possible only with recognizable local brands, which would improve the image of Serbia in the world.
She expressed satisfaction with the fact that the 2010 Brand Fair received regional character and hope that that manifestation would keep expanding in the future.
Milenka Jezdimirović, the CEO of insurance company Dunav Osiguranje, which is the partner of the event, said that the citizens of Serbia were not buying products but brands, which was the reason why domestic companies must build their own corporate brands.
The exhibitors will present their brands in Hall 2 of the Belgrade Fair, at about 6,000 square meters of exhibition space. Traditionally, the lectures on marketing and change in customers' behaviour at the time of the crisis will be held by experts within Brand Conferences.
The Brand Fair will also include the Belgrade CEFTA Forum, which will be organized on Friday. That will be the occasion for talks about regional cooperation and CEFTA Agreement on Free Trade in SEE. The speakers at the Forum will be the representatives of the chambers of commerce and entrepreneurs from the region.
Just like in the previous years, the visitors will choose their favorite brand at this year's Brand Fair. Portal eKapija is nominated in the category of Brand New Ideas. You can vote for us via this link - http://www.brandfair.org/fair/general.php?id=35.
The awards for the most favorite brands will be granted on Saturday, February 13th.
