Peugeot RCZ won the “Most Beautiful Car of the Year 2009″ award at the 25th edition of the International Automobile Festival.
Peugeot's winning design of 2+2 coupe, first unveiled as a prototype at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, combined the looks of the manufacturer's 308 sedan with the shape of the iconic Audi TT.
This car topped a poll of 650,000 drivers in 62 countries, winning a third of the votes cast in what was the 25th anniversary of the poll. BMW's Z4 came second with 23 per cent of the votes, while the Citroen DS3 was third just behind on 22 per cent.
Peugeot RCZ will be available next year with a 1.6 litre, 156bhp engine.
This is the fourth "Most Beautiful Car of the Year" award for the famous French manufacturer, and it is probably the sweetest since it celebrates the 200th birthday this year.
