Tourism Fair in Belgrade - February 24-28th

- The 32nd International Fair of Tourism will take place in Belgrade, between February 24 and 28, and gather 850 exhibitors from 41 countries, five more than last year - the Belgrade Fair announced today (February 10th, 2010).

Nikola Andrić, a representative of the Belgrade Fair, said at the press conference that the tourism organizations of Spain and USA would present their tourist potentials to the public in Serbia for the first time, as well as that BeoWine Fair would have its premiere.

- The country partner of this year's Tourism Fair is Slovenia - said he and added that the manifestation would be one day longer than the last year's event. It will last for five days and, on the first day, the event will be open for business visitors and media only.

The representative of the Embassy of Slovenia to Serbia, Jadranka Šturm-Kocjan, said that the Fair represented the opportunity for the people from tourism sectors of the two countries to exchange their experiences.

According to her words, Slovenia expects much more tourist from Serbia after visa regime liberalization.

The CEO of the Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS), Gordana Plamenac, said that the main projects of TOS in 2010 would concern the promotion of Serbia abroad, as well as promotion of local destinations to domestic tourists.

As she explained, TOS will promote active vacation in the nature through biking tours, walking, mountain climbing, rafting, stay in rural households, but it will also resume promotion of the cities in Serbia, wine tours and the routes of culture.

The plan is that a special segment of the Tourism Fair be dedicated to promotion of the tourist destinations in the Danubian countries, and the visitors will also be able to see a big offer of hotel equipment.

As it is announced, the most famous domestic tourist agencies, hotels and holiday hostels will be allowing discounts of 10 to 20% on the arrangements for the forthcoming summer.

The tourist offers will be presented, among the rest, by the exhibitors from Italy, Tunis, Peru, Tenerife, Cyprus, Greece, Egypt, Thailand, Indonesia and Brazil.

On February 24, 25 and 28, the event will be open between 10 AM and 6 PM, while the opening hours on February 26 and 27 will be between 10 AM and 7 PM.

The price of individual tickets is 300 RSD, the group tickets cost 200 RSD, while the price of parking is 100 RSD per hour.
