With TIMOCOM on the road to expansion and export – Dodic Furniture expands its distribution to independent transport operations

As of 2009 TIMOCOM made its system available to manufacturing and trade companies. The proof that expanding their business to this type of clientele was the right move lies in the success story of Dodic Furniture d.o.o. With the help of TIMOCOM system, this manufacturer of upholstered furniture expanded its offer to Western Europe markets and established its second core of business operations – transportation services.

TIMOCOM clients have at least one of the following three request : avoiding empty rides, distribution of transport of surplus goods and finding a carrier for transporting your own products.

Serbian furniture maker Dodic d.o.o. can meet all three since becoming a part of TIMOCOM network in 2016. The family company, established in 2003, is becoming increasingly popular and the demand for the award-wining upholstered furniture is rising. Their delivery zone constantly expands and soon it will include all Balkan countries.

Cost-effective return rides and taking over the market thanks to TIMOCOM

In order to offer their clients the best service possible, Dodic has been relying on delivering their products with their own vehicle fleet. However, the company was soon faced with the issue of cost-effectiveness since the vehicles would return empty back to the factory. Wanting to keep true to its creed, Dodic d.o.o looked for solutions for optimizing capacity utilization and thus found the options that German FreightTech company TIMOCOM offered.

It soon became clear that TIMOCOM application also met company's other needs. In addition to finding cargo for the return ride, the company saw an opportunity to transfer the raw material transport and the transport of surplus goods that surpass the company vehicle capacity to other clients.

In 2016 Dodic d.o.o. has finally signed a service contract with TIMOCOM and thus became a part of another family business guided by the same principles: close relationship with clients, high level of quality and optimization of the business process.

With TIMOCOM Dodic d.o.o establishes transport as company's second business activity

The cooperation between the two brought results quickly. Dodic d.o.o built its own network of carriers from more that 43.000 proven TIMOCOM clients and expanded it vehicle fleet. The fleet has 12 vehicles and 15 out of 220 employees work only in transportation.

Recently the company has moved its production to the production facility covering the area of 6.000 m2 and managed to extend its business to Western European markets.

– We developed parallel to TIMOCOM, said the owner and the director of the company Bratislav Dodic – We were able to optimize our return rides, broaden our business activities to transportation market and to increase the number of our vehicles. Aside from Balkan countries our furniture is now sold in Austria, Greece, Switzerland, Italy, Romania and Poland as well.

The courage to accept innovation is what brought the two companies together.

– We use TIMOCOM every day, says Igor Janjic and with Fright Exchange application adds a transport order before ending his work day.
