Telekom Srbija submitted a non-binding offer for the purchase of the telecommunications company Ipko based in Pristina. Due to terms of the non-disclosure agreement , the company can't provide further details until the tendering procedure ends, Telekom told Tanjug.

– Telekom Srbija did indeed submit a non-binding offer to purchase Ipko. Telekom's ambition to expand its business is a well-known fact and the offer is just another step in reaching that goal, Telekom stated.

The Mayor of Pristina Shpend Ahmeti said that Telekom Srbija submitted the highest offer in the tendering procedure for the sale of Ipko Telecommunications LLC.

Ahmeti wrote on his Twitter account that Telekom offered EUR 155 million to buy Ipko. However, he noted that the offer is supposed to be blocked.

Telekom Slovenije is the main shareholder of the mobile operater.

The Slovenian company announced in July last year that it would put the operator up for sale in accordance with its 2023 business strategy.

Established in 1999, Ipko became the property of Telekom Slovenije in 2018.
