Construction of Largest Zincking Facility in BiH in Progress – Investment in Doboj “Unites” RS and Federation

Companies from Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are realizing the largest zincking facility in Bosnia and Herzegovina in Doboj.

As BHRT reported, this is a 100% local investment in a facility for heat zincking of metal structures, worth BAM 13 million.

At this facility, whose equipment is manufactured by experts from Zenica, a total of 25,000 tons of products will be made each year.

– This is one form of protecting the surface of metal structures, as shown, the most economical and long lasting one – says Djordje Mitrovic, the technical director of Cinkaonica Doboj.

All mechanical equipment for the facility at Cinkaonica is made in Zenica.

Dr Jusuf Duranovic, the designer of TPS Zenica, says that such projects have been mostly done by companies from Italy and Germany so far.

– We have dared for the first time to take on such a serious project, with the investor putting the trust in us – Duranovic pointed out.

– The project entails the preparation of processing electronic, mechanical, automatic and metalworking tools, also prepared in Zenica. A sum of one million convertible marks was set aside for environmental protection, which includes a facility for the treatment of white smokes.

Parallel with the activities concerning the installation of elements at Cinkaonica Doboj, the future workers at the facility are being trained. Thanks to this investment which has united the two BiH entities, 100 new jobs will be created, BHRT says.
