Best Plum Brandy of All Serbian Countries Selection

The Fruit Research Institute of Cacak is organizing a contest for the best plum brandy from all Serbian countries from 2019, from Republika Srpska, Serbia to Kosovo and Metohija, on July 3, 2020. This will be a contest of producers of top quality plum brandies (“rakijas”) which won an award at one of the 12 regional contests from Banjaluka to Leposavic last year.

– Forty samples of our extraordinary plum brandy have been sent, and the best one will be rated, under secret codes, by a jury of nine, consisting of the leading experts who take care of the quality of this product in Serbia – Dr Branko Popovic, one of the leading Serbian experts for strong alcoholic drinks and a researcher at the Fruit Research Institute of Cacak, says for RINA.

Popovic is also the founder of this unique event.
