The management of company Trayal announced yesterday (January 3, 2010) that the negotiations with Italian company Fiat on delivery of 1m car tires per year were close to end.

The CEO of that Kruševac-based corporation, Hristo Krušarski, said to the press that the new machine for production of ready-made tires should be put in operation prior to end of March and, thus, improve the quality significantly. He also said that the company should soon receive the results of tire tests carried out in an independent laboratory.

He said that the contract would anticipate supply of tires to the whole Fiat Group and that the installation of new machine would increase daily production to about 8,000 tires.

- The value of our production in January amounted to 1.4m EUR, while the plan for February is the production worth 3m EUR - said he and added that he expected 70% of goods to be exported, primarily to Germany, England and Russia.

Krušarski said that the relations between the company's management and trade union were good.

Trayal Corporation was privatized in November 2006 when Bulgarian company Brikel EAD bought the majority capital of company for about 12m EUR and promised to invest 25m EUR in the company within the first five years.
