BRNABIC: State to pay 70% of the taxes for employment of those unemployed in 2019

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has invited companies to use the measures provided by the state and employ young people who still make up a fourth of the total number of the unemployed.

Brnabic said that the unemployment rate in the first quarter of 2020 had been 9.7%.

– From January 1, 2020, if you employ a person who was not employed in 2019, including the young for whom this is their first job, the state pays 70% of the taxes and contributions for their salaries until the end of 2022 – Brnabic said.

She specified that the total tax exemption was 70% in 2020, 65% in 2021 and 60% in 2022.
