Unique method for calculation of amount of gas delivered to consumers in Serbia

The Energy Agency of Serbia (AERS) announced that it had introduced the unique method for calculation of the quantity of natural gas delivered to consumers in Serbia on February 1st, 2010.

As people from the Agency specified, arbitrary calculation of the difference between measured and delivered quantity of gas by distributors will be avoided in that way.

"That difference is the result of the fact that the volume of natural gas depends on pressure, temperature and heating value of that fuel", said the people from the Energy Agency.

The unique method for calculation of the quantity of delivered gas will be used for calculation of the February bill for the first time.

Detailed explanation and the calculator that will make it possible for the consumers to easily check the accuracy of the calculation can be found on the Agency's website.

The Agency invited distributors of natural gas to enclose the explanation with the gas bill for February on why it is necessary for the measured quantity to be consequently calculated for the bill, what values will be used and in which way the buyer will be able to check them.
