Serbia registered 1.37 billion USD worth of surplus in trade with CEFTA countries in 2009 -

- Serbia registered 1.37 billion USD worth of surplus in the trade with CEFTA countries in 2009 - the Statistics Institute of Serbia announced.

According to the announcement, this surplus is, primarily, the result of export of agricultural products, cereal, cereal products and drinks in particular.

Serbia's export amounts to 2.6 billion USD, while import is 1.2 billion USD. The coverage of import by export amounts to 208%.

Serbia mainly imports iron and steel, electric energy and products of non-metal minerals.

Serbia's foreign-trade deficit in 2009 amounted to 5.2 billion EUR, which is 39.2% less than in 2008.
