Official application of Transient Agreement with EU starts on February 1st

- The Transient Trade Agreement between European Union (EU) and Serbia will be officially put in effect on Monday, February 1st, - the Head of the EU Delegation in Serbia, Vincent Degert, announced on Friday (January 29, 2010).

He said at the press conference in Belgrade that the economic significance of full application of the Transient Agreement lay in the fact that Serbia would become more attractive to foreign investors, while political significance lay in the fact that the analysis of progress would be important factor in the European Commission's consideration of Serbia's candidacy for the membership in EU.
