Galenika announced construction of new factory of solid pharmaceutical products - €60m

Pharmaceutical Company Galenika plans construction of new factory of solid pharmaceutical products in 2006. As a matter of fact, the old factory whose construction started in 1995 will get new purpose. The value of this significant investment amounts to about €60m.

Galenika has adapted one part of the production unit, so that the complete parapharmaceutical program and part of medicines are already produced in accordance with GMP standards.

In the last nine months of 2005, share of Galenika in the market increased from 25 to 28%.

Galenika is also ending negotiations about delivery of antivirus medicine tamiflu, made by pharmaceutical company Rosche, for purpose of final processing of that medicine in the Galenika’s labs.
