New Korean Investment in Pozarevac – Elias Eco to Build Facility for Processing and Sale of Solar Panels Instead of Waste Incinerator

The City Administration of Pozarevac has opened an invitation for the public presentation of the urban plan for the construction of a business-commercial facility for the sale of solar panels. The new facility will be built on the land owned by Elias Eco, which previously intended to build a hazardous waste incinerator there.

According to the project documentation, the facility will process the panels to match the dimensions required by the end-user and sell them. The technological process for the processing of the panels involves cutting, finishing works and quality control in line with the certified standards of the EU.

The total area of the facilities is 1,425 m2.

Let us remind that, in March 2019, the City of Pozarevac signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with the director of Elias Eco, Kun Young Park, with the aim of having a facility for the incineration of industrial and medical waste open in Pozarevac. The project has obviously been abandoned after NGOs opposed it, as the facility was supposed to be built close to a food silo.
