As announced recently, Telekom Slovenije is planning to establish a test 5G network at the port town of Koper, in order to explore the possibilities of development and test various logistic solutions.
– The project will take three years. This is a testing of new technologies on the container terminal. The project could begin in late 2020. We are looking at the signing of an agreement and the obtaining of all the necessary permits – Sebastjan Sik, the company's PR, told eKapija.
The project of the installation of 5G technology is financed from the EU Horizon 2020 project and its value is EUR 8 million. It should be completed in 2023.
