- As Osiguranje, the youngest insurance company in Serbia, registered 6.1m EUR worth of premiums after 18 months of operations, which is 1m more than planned - said Gabrijel Škof, the representative of the founder, company Adriatic Slovenica.
As Osiguranje was formed by Adriatic Slovenica, the second largest insurance company in Slovenia. The founding capital amounted to 5m EUR.
Mr Škof, the President of the Administration of Adriatic Slovenica, said at the opening ceremony of new premises that As Neživotno Osiguranje (As Non-life Insurance) in Serbia had been put in operation at the time of the biggest economic crisis and that it had achieved the business result above all expectation in spite of that.
The President of the Administrative Board of As Osiguranje, Jova Miloradić, said that, after year and half, the company had gained the share of about 1% in Serbian insurance market.
He said that the company's goal for the next two years was to increase that share to 2.5%, and he pointed out that As Osiguranje already had the share of 2.4% in self-liability insurance.
Miloradić added that the fact that As Osiguranje had 40 employees and 140,000 EUR worth of premiums per employee spoke enough of the company's success since the average in Serbia was 75,000 EUR worth of premiums per employee.
