Gorenje to Close Factory in Zajecar

Two years after the decision was reached to focus the business operations on developing its core activities, namely, the production of home appliances, and to gradually leave other production activities, the management of Gorenje decided to close the Zajecar-based factory for the production of sanitary equipment Gorenje Home.

As Gorenje says, the factory has been incurring considerable losses for a long time now.

The management of Gorenje is having intensive negotiations with two potential partners which would rent or buy the production space and capacities and enable a new employment of the workers at the Zajecar factory as soon as possible.
