Aluminum Mill Sevojno invests another €20m next year

Three years after the tender privatization, the Aluminum Mill in Sevojno, of which majority owner is Slovenian company Impol, increased production 3.5 times, productivity 5 times, whereas the wages of the employees are almost doubled.
In three years, Impol invested about 17.5 million USD, which is 19% more than the obligations from the sales contract.
Prior to the middle of 2006, another €20m will be invested in the foundry 2, purchase of modern scissors for tin cutting, modernization of existing and purchase of equipment for production of ribbed sheet metal and modernization of the coloring line. There are projects for most of these investments, the contracts have been signed with the suppliers of equipment and construction works have started.
By the way, Impol from Slovenian Bistrica, after the tender, became owner of 70% of the factory. Overall five-year obligatory investments amounted to 14,635,500 USD, and, to the 31st of August inclusive, 17,097,453 USD have been invested, which is more than planned.
