NIS opened first gas station after takeover by Gazpromneft

On Sunday (January 17, 2010), the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) opened the first newly built gas station in Serbia since Russian Gazpromneft took over the majority ownership of that company. The new gas station is situated in Kruševac.

The Deputy Executive Director of NIS Petrol, Oleg Šalimov, said at the opening ceremony that NIS wanted to raise the quality of its services to the highest possible level by opening new and refurbishing existing gas stations.

New gas station in Kruševac is built in accordance with all ecological regulations, and it also enables electronic payments.

NIS invested about 1.5m EUR in that gas station, and people from the company announced that total of 118m USD would be invested in development of retail network and exploitation in 2010.
