Netflix Looking to Buy Out “Juzni Vetar”

As soon as the conditions are met for the shooting of the second part of the “Juzni Vetar” movie, and then the second season of the TV series, according to the FILM I TV portal, Netflix will be interested in purchasing the rights for this Serbian hit.

This has been confirmed by the director and screenwriter, Milos Avramovic.

– I'm not going to give the movie just so we could get on Netflix, leaving it without advertising and losing money to boot. I've already been offered this, but Netflix requires a bunch of translations, materials, exports and other things in order to include the movie in its offer. We will try to offer the second part of the movie, the TV series and the first part as a serious package. We have also had an offer made by HBO Europe, but they gave up, as we had already sold broadcasting rights to Russia and the countries in the region – Avramovic said for the FILM I TV portal.

He has already started picking the actors for the second part of the movie.

As announced several days ago by the movie's main star, Milos Bikovic, as soon as the current situation stabilizes, the shooting of the second part and then the second season of the TV show will start.

The second part is supposed to premiere in early 2021.
