The CEO of public utility company "Novosadska toplana" (the Novi Sad Heating Plant), Vladimir Jelić, announced that the company's most important investments in 2010 were construction of two new boilers of 58 MW each, circular unit and building facility within heating plant "Sever". The money for these investments will be provided from the loan of German Bank for Development in amount of 740m RSD.

At today's (January 12, 2010) press conference, Jelić also announced construction of the power line between Heating plant "Sever" and the Main distribution station, which will be financed from the city budget, and the anticipated value of the investment is about 320m RSD.

In that way, Heating plant "Sever" will be connected with TE-TO "Novi Sad", which will ensure energy stability and better heating terms for the citizens who live in Rotkvarija and along the Oslobođenja Boulevard (from Jaše Tomića Boulevard to Pap Pavla Street)

Jelić also pointed out that the reconstruction of old hot water pipeline in Slobodana Jovanovića Boulevard was in the pipeline, which would prevent breakdowns in aforementioned part of Bistrica and provide heating for the people who live in that part of the city during the next heating season. That investment will amount to about 110m RSD, and the money will be provided by "Novosadska toplana".
