Delegation of Czech-based company "Moravija energo", signed the precontract with the Mayor of Zaječar, Boško Ničić, on construction of steam power plant whose power is 35 MV of electric energy and 100 MV of heating power in the vicinity of Zaječar. The contract will be signed in Czech Republic on November 21. The value of the investment in the first phase would amount to €70m, said Ničić. The name of this company will be "Termoelektrana - Toplana Moravija Zaječar" (Steam Power Plant – Heating Plant Moravija Zaječar). Also, joint venture for distribution of heating energy and introduction of heating system in Municipality of Zaječar will be registered in Serbia. According to the words of Bohuslav Bernatek, head of Administrative Board of “Moravija Energo”, construction of steam power plant should start in March or April 2006 and citizens of Zaječar would be connected to the heating system of this plant in the middle of 2008. This heating line can supply 60% of citizens of Zaječar. The price would be much lower than the present one, because the heating would be charged in accordance with the consumed energy and not by square meter. This would lead to the maximal employment of coal mines in Municipality of Zaječar.
