Investments of 30m EUR in Kruševac in 2010

Kruševac should obtain about 30m EUR from the republic budget and pre-accession funds of European Union in 2010.

The city budget for year 2010 includes about 430m RSD for construction of facilities and capital maintenance works.

According to the words of the Mayor of Kruševac, Desimir Pavlović, other planned works, worth over 25m EUR, will be financed from "other sources".

Most money is planned to be invested in reconstruction and expansion of the Factory for drinking water treatment and construction of regional water supply system from the lake of Ćelije.

About 9m EUR from the pre-accession funds have already been granted for that project, as well as 1.6m EUR from the National Investment Plan (NIP) for construction of reservoir in the settlement of Lipovac.

About 5m EUR will be invested in construction of local and regional roads and, based on the earlier agreement, the money should be provided by the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The Ministry of Energy and Mining of Serbia should invest 2.5m EUR in supply of power to substation "Kruševac 3" and procurement of new connections for investors on the territory of south part of the city.

The CEO of the city heating plant, Goran Krasić, told Beta agency that the reconstruction of hot water pipeline network should start in 2010, as well as construction of new boiler rooms and establishment of the new system of charging for consumed heating energy.

The funds for that investment of about 5m EUR will be provided from the credit programme of KfW.

The Board members of the City Assembly in Kruševac adopted the budget of 2.22 billion RSD for year 2010 on December 31st.

The budget anticipates reduction of the costs of the City Administration by about 25m RSD, while social allowances and investments are increased by over 20m RSD and about 100m RSD, respectively, when compared to year 2009.
