Silver Lake to Get Sports Hall Too – Tender for Final Works Opens

Silver Lake could soon become a luxury resort, and the works have not stopped, despite the coronavirus pandemic crisis. Along with the construction of an airport and new accommodation capacities, the plan includes additional recreation features, which might boost sports tourism as well. The Municipality of Veliko Gradiste and the Tourism Organization have opened a public procurement procedure for the final phase of the construction of a sports hall on Silver Lake.

The sports hall is to be built in the Beli Bagrem settlement, and the estimated value of the public procurement, without VAT, is RSD 4,291,666. The selected contractor will be given 45 calendar days to finish the works.

Let us remind that the construction of an airport near Silver Lake was also announced, and that the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure recently opened a public procurement procedure for the preparation of the Detailed Regulation Plan, which should plan the location and the requirements for the construction and use of the runways, a complete lighting signalization system, a terminal building, equipment storage and a fire station, as well as hangars.

Also, the Detailed Regulation Plan of Beli Bagrem envisages the construction of a high-category hotel, but also luxury villas, pools and en expansion of the beach. As eKapija has already written, German investors, among others, are interested in building the hotel.
