In certain technical goods stores, online sales have increased by 50% since the implementation of the state of emergency due to the coronavirus epidemic, and the biggest growth is recorded in the sale of computers, IT equipment and gaming consoles, whereas the list of best-selling products also features beauty and care devices.

The National Bank of Serbia says for Tanjug that the electronic trade in the first trimester will show an increase in certain industries, whereas, in some others, it will drop, which is expected given the circumstances.

For now, the technical goods are selling the most, whereas large furniture and home equipment stores say that people buy things online that they need to reorganize and equip their home for the isolation period, so they are mostly interested in tables, chairs, mattresses and bed sheets.

The NBS has data on online goods and service purchase transactions made by payment cards or electronic money, but no data on online sales made any other way, for example, by payment on delivery and through similar means.
