Investments of Slovenian company "Maxim" - galvanization unit in Inđija and production of steel structures in Ćuprija

In spite of the global economic crisis in 2009, company "Maksim Bg", which is 100% owned by company "Maksim" from Celje, has started realization of two large investments in Serbia.

Construction of the biggest technological line for hot galvanization in this part of Europe was started in Inđija on August 8th, 2009, and the estimated value of the investment amounts to 21m EUR. Production unit with the annual hot galvanization capacity of over 60,000 tons could enable, in addition to hot galvanization of the structures with the maximum dimensions of 14.5m x 1.8m x 3.2m, high-quality hot galvanization of smaller elements because the line for centrifugal hot galvanization will be installed and put in operation within the scope of the investment.

The aim of the investor is to increase the capacity in Serbian market and offer the services of long-lasting anticorrosive protection to the buyers in Vojvodina, east part of Croatia, as well as south parts of Hungary and Romania. The commencement of production is expected in July 2010.

Company "Metal-cinkara" in Ćuprija, which operates within "Maksim Bg" group, works at full steam and it is the leader in hot galvanization and protection of steel structures and products in Serbia.

The company finished construction of multipurpose production hall at 2,500 square meters in 2009. New ficep machine that processes all types of profiles of up to 1,150 mm is installed in that hall, while the laser for cutting sheet metal is expected to be imported very soon.

Expansion of capacities in company "Metal-cinkara" runs parallel to expansion of production and assortment. Planning and production of steel structures, fences, electro-welded grids and stairs have already started.
